Have you ever awaken up from a dream thinking where in the world did that come from?
Did you know that crazy, strange and bazaar dreams can often be caused by an over burden of toxins in the body? Often times those who have crazy dream after crazy dream may regularly have trouble with constipation or an overall increased inability for the body to detoxify itself.
The same toxins that cause an over burdened liver or that can gather in your body’s tissues can also cause awful, horrible dreams.
Where do these toxins come from? Toxic substances are in your mattress (especially if it is brand new), your brand new carpet, the air your breathe, maybe the water you drink, or even what you are eating. Toxins are all around us, all the time. We can even find them in the personal care products we purchase like our shampoo, makeup, moisturizers, lip balms and lotions. Also, when our body is struggling with gut dysbiosis such as bacteria, yeast, and parasites toxins are produced right in our body. There are so many toxins in all parts of our lives, I don’t think a single one of us can eliminate them all.
Since we are unable to eliminate them it is very important to reduce them as much as we can and keep our body as healthy as possible in order to purge them. Thankfully, the body is designed to purge itself of toxic chemicals when it has the right tools to do so.
How can you help your body detoxify itself?
1. Heal Your Gut –
Many people manage to heal their gut by following various gut healing protocols such as GAPS, SCD, or an Autoimmune Paleo diet. As a practitioner I also help those with gut healing, especially since for some it can always need a little bit of additional support. Any kind of gut problems such as yeast overgrowth, bacteria or parasites are all gut issues. Not to mention any kind of food allergies or autoimmune disorders going on. Remember, something that works for someone else may not work for you. Everyone is a bio-individual. You are not a textbook case. However, there are several things to do to help with gut healing.

2. Aid your Liver in Detoxifying – Your liver is the main detoxification organ of your body. If it is working properly it will filter out all the nasty things passing through. However, often the liver can struggle with being overburden due to life style choices, health struggles, problems inherited from previous generations. You can aid your liver in detoxifying by healing your gut, maintaining your blood sugar, and helping it along with a gentle liver cleansing protocol.
3. Keep Yourself Hydrated – Another way to allow toxins to pass from your body is stay hydrated! Make sure you are getting plenty of water. A good rule is to drink about half your body weight in ounces of water or other hydrating drinks each day such as bone broth or raw milk. Make sure your water is filtered and pure. This will be a significant aid in flushing out the junk that is giving you all those crazy dreams.
4. Avoid Toxic Substances – Like I mentioned above it is nearly impossible to filter all the toxins out of your life, however, you can eat organic foods, drink pure water and use personal care products void of harmful toxins. You can also place air purifiers in your home or just have some green house plants around to help cleanse the air of toxic substances. If your body is struggling with an overburden of toxins some of the best first steps are eliminating the offenders.
If you eliminate all the offenses and feel as though your body is functioning optimally perhaps God is trying to tell you something. I most certainly believe that dreams can often have meanings. However, all these burdens on the body can cause quite a bit of upset on the function of the body, you may also be in need of more one-on-one attention for help with eliminating the toxic burden within the body.
